Almost all forms of communications are moving to an Internet Protocol (IP) platform, but that doesn’t mean that making the transition to IP is easy. This is especially true for critical-infrastructure entities that must ensure that the reliability of their legacy communications—much of which was based time-division-multiplexing (TDM) technology—is met or exceeded within by new IP systems.
