Avtec and Tait Communications conducted a joint demonstration at IWCE 2016 of full-featured interoperability for traditional P25 radio systems and ESChat's LTE-based push-to-talk application. This integration was achieved through ESChat's ability to communicate via a standard CSSI gateway. Because Scout consoles support the standardized Inter RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI), ESChat appears as a P25 radio network to the end user and offers them the full feature set of the existing radio network.
