MotorolaADPMOTOROLA SOLUTIONS AND AVTEC CONSOLES: A PARTNERSHIP FOR BUSINESS-CRITICAL SOLUTIONS

With the emergence of next-generation Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standards, customers can now deploy feature-rich, reliable communications systems more economically than ever. The Motorola(R) MOTOTRBO Professional Digital Two-Way Radio System combined with the Avtec Scout™ console system offers a fully integrated solution for commercial environments. Scout is the only Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) console system to offer true “wireline” connectivity to conventional (IP Site Connect), or multi-site trunked (Connect Plus and Linked Capacity Plus) MOTOTRBO systems.  Wireline connections provide a direct IP interface between the console system and the radio infrastructure, which avoids system radio frequency (RF) loading associated with wireless connections. Another key advantage of wireline is support for business-critical connection redundancy as well as scalability to hundreds of talk groups, all with a simple Ethernet connection.

MOTOTRBO CONNECT PLUS

In partnership with Motorola Solutions, Avtec developed a robust and full-featured wire-line interface between the Scout console system and the MOTOTRBO
Connect Plus digital radio trunking system. This provides dispatchers a truly scalable, integrated communication platform based upon next generation Digital Mobile Radio standards that include the ability to communicate on group calls, site all calls, network all calls, and private calls. It also supports features such as enhanced privacy, Talker ANI (automatic number
identification) with aliasing, call alerting, emergency notifications, radio check and radio enable/disable. Scout console positions connect to the Connect Plus radio system using Avtec’sVPGate™ software application.

MOTOTRBO LINKED CAPACITY PLUS

Avtec’s Scout console system provides a wireline connection to the MOTOTRBO Linked Capacity Plus (LCP) digital radio trunking system which connects adjoining sites across an IP network. Scout’s Linked Capacity Plus interface provides dispatchers the ability to communicate via Wide Area Groups, Local Groups, and All Call connections. It also supports enhanced privacy, talker ANI (automatic number identification) with aliasing, inbound and out-bound regular group calls, and inbound emergency calls. Scout console positions connect to the Linked Capacity Plus radio system using Avtec’s VPGate™ software application. To scale the connection to more Scout consoles, the Avtec Routing Controller™ is an interface that increases operational efficiency by scaling up to 100 talk groups.

IP SITE CONNECT

Avtec has also developed a wireline interface for MOTOTRBO Conventional IP Site Connect repeaters. This solution provides a method for communicating across dispersed geographical locations or physical barriers to extend the reach of a conventional two-way radio system. Customers have the flexibility of starting with a conventional system and upgrading later to Connect Plus, without changing out console systems.
