LEXINGTON,
S.C. – August 10, 2017 – Avtec Inc., the nation’s leading independent provider
of mission-critical Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch console
systems, recently named Alphonso Hamilton as the company’s new vice president
of commercial strategy. In his role, Hamilton will lead Avtec’s efforts to
identify and build new strategic alliances.

Reporting
directly to Williams, Hamilton will work with Avtec’s sales, marketing and
product management teams to develop complimentary relationships with other
companies and cultivate new opportunities to open doors and add value for the
customer.
Before
joining Avtec, Hamilton was the director of strategic business development for
Airbus Defense & Space Communications, where he was responsible for strategy
development, sales objectives and overall business performance for the
company’s wireless land mobile radio (LMR) organization. Hamilton also served
as a regional sales director for Airbus, overseeing sales and P25 LMR business
in the Southwest region.
Hamilton
brings to Avtec more than 15 years of executive management experience in both
domestic and international markets. Previous employers include VIDE, Lucent
Technologies and Nortel Networks. Hamilton holds an MBA from Vanderbilt
University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and has been published by trade
publications such as Mission Critical Magazine and Urgent Communications.
