Avtec Launches New Family of Dispatch Solutions at IWCE 2018

February 27, 2018 | by Tiffany Rushton

LEXINGTON, S.C. – February 27, 2018 – Avtec Inc., the nation’s leading independent provider of mission-critical, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch console systems, is introducing a new family of Scout™ product solutions at booth 1325 during the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), March 7-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Avtec will unveil three new Scout packages designed to provide customers with a highly reliable, compact, easy-to-expand system that seamlessly integrates radio, telephony, and broadband technologies while simultaneously offering a lower total cost of ownership. Powered by the same proven technology used in its flagship Scout platform—now available under the rebranded name Scout Enterprise—the new family of solutions provides end users with exceptional audio quality and maximum uptime in a platform deliberately designed to adapt and scale to any communication center environment.

“The new Scout family of solutions reaffirms our long-standing commitment to both meeting and anticipating our customers’ needs—whether those communication requirements are simple, advanced, or somewhere in between,” remarked Avtec’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Alphonso Hamilton. “Our clients are increasingly looking for a broader range of technology options that offer a controlled number of communication channels, yet still provide their communication centers with a secure, scalable platform that delivers redundancy and mobility.”

Avtec’s focal point at IWCE—“One Platform. Unlimited Possibilities.”—captures its performance pledge: a single-code-base family of solutions offering maximum flexibility and adaptability. Available through Avtec’s dealer network, the three new Scout products include the following packages in basic or advanced configurations:

  • Scout 100, a four-button, hardware device that controls up to four radio channels or talkgroups.
  • Scout 400, an easy-to-expand, software-based solution to access up to four radio or telephony channels.
  • Scout 800, a scalable, software-based solution designed to manage up to eight radio or telephony endpoints.

IWCE attendees can view live demos of the new Scout family of solutions at Avtec’s booth. Representatives from Cisco will also be on hand to demonstrate Cisco Unified Communication Integration, which allows users with Cisco IP phones and Cisco’s Instant Connect solution to communicate with radio networks, Avtec consoles, and field workers via voice, video, or text.

Avtec VoIP technology can be seen in action throughout the IWCE exhibition hall at:

Codan, booth 1743

ESChat, booth 2759
